FIND YOUR INGREDIENTS OF JOY

PLACES

Are there places where you always feel good? Places that make you smile or feel relaxed? Places that get you jumping up and down?

PEOPLE

Are there people who make you feel like getting a hug without actually being hugged? People who just allow you to be you? People you make you light up when you are around them? People who give you energy? People with whom you wish there were traffic so the ride would take longer?

ACTIVITIES

Are there things you just love doing? Things that make you feel good, things that pull you to perfect sense of presence? Things that excite and thrill you? Things that energize you?

Don’t accidentally try to live

someone else’s life, find what

sparks joy inside of you.

Make a list of people, places, items, and things to do that give you joy, that give you energy. Note that all things that are important to you might not be the ones that give you joy. For example, some family members might be really important but they drain you out of energy, so don’t include them to your list. Let your list just free flow out of you. If you have trouble getting started, you might think of your best holiday and start listing things that made it to be the best one. Or think back to your childhood what were you most interested in. Once you are done with your list, start thinking of ways to schedule those things into your days, weeks, months, and years more.
